August 8, 2012 Meeting Minutes


CALL TO ORDER / INTRODUCTIONS / APPROVAL OF MINUTES

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm at Hawk’s Prairie Inn Restaurant in Lacey by Megan Renick, followed by introductions.  The minutes of the prior meeting where approved.


SCHOLARSHIP FUND – Karen Johnson & Mark Twardzicki

Neither Mark nor Karen were present to report.


TREASURER’S REPORT – Larry Weniger

Larry reported the status of the clubs financial position.


COMMITTEE REPORTS


MEMBERSHIP – Art Carter

Sean and Allison McFadden were voted in as members of the club.


WEBSITE – Art Carter

Our club web page is: www.corvettesdeolympia.org


The Web site is up to date.


NWACC – George Schwartz

The NWACC banquette will be held the 1st Saturday in November.


NATIONAL CORVETTE MUSEUM – George Schwartz

The NCM motorsports park is scheduled to be opened in September 2014.


HISTORIAN – Marilyn Trogden 

Marilyn reported on the events since the last meeting.

SPONSORSHIP – Peggy Rogers

Peggy asked that all T shirt orders be submitted and paid.


SUNSHINE -  Maggie Weniger

No new sunshine activity to report


EVENTS & ACTIVITIES – Josette Miller

The event sign up notebook was circulated amongst the members.  Josette announced a day cruise/shopping trip to Port Townsend September 16th.  A two day trip to the Dalles, Oregon was put up for consideration.  Josette and others will make a test drive to look for rest stops and determine travel times.

  

VETTE FEST

Vette Fest registration continues to be increasing.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:05PM.
