SW Washington a lot of fun. No rain showers, great scenic route, with a lunch stop in Westport.

Upcoming events:

7/15-run to Whidbey Island with a fabulous lunch at the home of Ron and Peggy Gelbrich. Cars will leave the Royal Bean at 8AM sharp for Pt Townsend.

7/21 Lakefair carshow, meet at 5Pm at Deschutes Park

7/22 Lakefair Parade meet at 2:30 at Tumwater Safeway to your parade destination.
Just a hint; bring a car cover to avoid hours of sap cleanup, after your car has sat in the hot sun all afernoon. After the parade, get together at the Punteney’s for sub sandwiches and chips. Bring dessert and bag chairs and your favorite beverage.

7/30 Windy Ridge trip up Hwy 12 and down through Woodland. We will leave from the Royal Bean at 9 AM. We will stop and buy lunch along the way.

8/20 Volvo Gimmick Rally, 10AM from the Fife Volvo dealership.

9/3 South Bend Labor Day Parade with the starting point at Country Cousin for breakfast. Festivities to include walking poker run, & kayak run if you choose to participate.

9/23 & 9/24 end of summer run to Ocean Shores. Most of the group is booked at the Grey Gull, however feel free to go down just for the day.

Operation BackPack: We have challenged the Mustang Club to outdo us with backpacks full of school supplies. We will meet to convoy over to the district office to drop off the backpacks and all tour to an ice cream place. They have accepted the challenge, so the race is on. WE CAN’T LET A BUNCH OF PONIES STOMP US CAN WE? Get those backpacks and start filling. If you did not get the supply list contact Peggy.(I know one of our members has already filled 4 packs). Date and times will be announced. Lynus suggested we add a good luck wish note in the backpacks. And don’t forget, on top of the supplies, a paper to say what grade you shopped for.
