Meeting Minutes for March 10th, 2010

CALL TO ORDER / INTRODUCTIONS / APPROVAL OF MINUTES


The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m., March 10, 2010 at the Hawks Prairie Inn by President Meagan Renick. Each member introduced themselves as well as their car(s).

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes from February 10, 2010 were approved with no additions or corrections.
 
TREASURER’S REPORT – Larry Weniger
Treasurer Weniger thanked Art for leaving the books in order.  Larry informed the club of each account balance and deductions.  An up-to-date summary report is available on the club website.

NWACC – George Swartz
George informed the club that there was no new NWACC information to report on.

NCM – George Schwartz
George informed the members that there was no NCM information to report on.

HISTORIAN- Randy Harris
Randy informed the group that there was no new history to report but reminded everyone that history is always in the making.

SPONSORSHIP – Peggy Rogers
Peggy reported that all the sponsorship letters have gone out.

SCHOLARSHIP – Karen Johnson
Karen informed the group that there was no new information to report.

WEBSITE – Art Carter
Art reported that he is constantly updating the website with events, pictures and club information.  

MEMBERSHIP – Art Carter
Art informed the group that there were 9 prospective members who have not completed the club requirements.  President Renick requested that an email or phone call be made to each prospective member inviting them to a meeting and/or an event.

SUNSHINE – Frankie Sokso
Frankie was happy to report that there were no one was ill!  Meagan Renick noted that Frankie would like to retire from the Sunshine Committee and asked if anyone interested please contact her.


EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES – Josette Miller and Jon Cox
Josette and Jon asked each member to complete a 2010 Event Survey and reported that the 2010 Calendar of Events is in the works.  Jon and Josette lead a discussion on past/present events that members would like participate in such as club jacket nights, guest speakers, drive in move night, go cart night, wine tours, and vets for vets.  

Steve Hatfield was presented with a plaque for People’s Choice Award at the 2010 Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast and Mark Twardzicki reminded the group about the Poker Rally on May 2, 2010.

OLD BUSINESS


Meagan advised the club that there was no old business.

NEW BUISNESS


Anne Wax hosted an in club fashion show featuring several members all sporting different styles of club jackets.  Anne informed the group that she will be placing a jacket order with Red Creek and an email will go out to all members with detailed ordering information.  Jacket order deadline is April 14, 2010 (next meeting).  Meagan encouraged each member to order a jacket because she is not sure when the next group order will be.

ADJOURNMENT / RAFFLE


The 50/50 raffle winner responsible for bringing next month’s raffle prize is: Jenni & Steve Hatfield.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:03 p.m.

The next meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on April 14, 2010 at the Hawks Prairie Inn.
