April 13, 2011 Meeting Minutes
CALL TO ORDER / INTRODUCTIONS / APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm at Hawk’s Prairie Inn Restaurant in Lacey, followed by introductions. The minutes of the prior meeting where approved.
TREASURER’S REPORT – Larry Weniger
Larry presented the Treasury report.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
MEMBERSHIP – Art Carter
We are up to date. The first electronic version of the club news letter was published and saved the club about $120 in printing and mailing costs for this issue.

NWACC – George Schwartz
George reported the Shelton Race track is up for final review by the Mason County planning commission. He described the track as eventually consisting of a drag strip, a track course and a autocross course.

NATIONAL CORVETTE MUSEUM – George Schwartz
A group from the Pacific Northwest will be touring to Bowling Green in September 2012. The plans are underway, and will include a trip down the Tail of the Dragon, stops at historic battlegrounds and WA DC. Contact George for more information.

George reported on the CM Corvette lottery being illegal in Washington. CM is working with the WA Attorney General to determine if there is a way to avoid this problem.
SCHOLARSHIP FUND – Karen Johnson & Mark Twardzicki.
Mark adivised there was nothing new to report.
HISTORIAN – Marilyn Trogden.
Marilyn likewise advised there was nothing new to report.
SPONSORSHIP – Peggy Rogers?
Titus-Will renewed their sponsorship which was reported by Larry in Peggy’s behalf.
SUNSHINE - Maggie Weniger
Maggie sent flowers on behalf of the club to Peggy Rogers on her mother’s passing. She also sent a plant to Brenda & Alan Johnson in memoriam of their son being lost. A card was circulated at the meeting and will be sent to Leo Dipola.
EVENTS & ACTIVITIES – Jason Moorash and Josette Miller
Jason and Josette distributed the 2011 Calendar of Events. The event sign up notebook was circulated amongst the members. (Note the web site events calendar needs to be updated to the current Calendar of Events.)
Meagan reported on the Poker-Gimmick Rally. Meagan took the insurance agent on the ralley route and it was approved so it is official. Meagan encouraged anyone who wants to volunteer to let her know, and anyone who is not volunteering to run the rally so we have a good showing from our club. Meagan has heard from clubs that are sending a group of folks, so it would be nice to also have good representation from our club.
OLD BUSINESS
There was no old business.
NEW BUSINESS
Randy presented the idea of members participating in a parade in support of the Lions Club International gathering in Seattle July 5th. He estimated the parade duration to run from 10-11AM.
Randy also reported on the 2nd Annual High Rollin’ Hot Rods at the Beach event at the Quinault Casino April 30, 2011. More about this event can be found at:
